If the sealing performance between the valve ball and the valve seat deteriorates over time due to factors such as defects on the valve ball or valve seat, or grooves in the valve seat that result in poor sealing, the high pressure exerted by the pump will cause increasingly severe erosion of both the valve ball and the valve seat. This ultimately leads to cross-flow of slurry between the high-pressure and low-pressure areas, forcing the slurry pump to stop operating
