The wear of the other components has now been resolved; however, it’s not clear how to deal with the wear of the mechanical seal, especially when dealing with materials containing salt particles
It depends on the particle content; if it’s low, a hard-to-hard mechanical seal can be chosen； If the particle content is high, a double-ended design with flushing is required.
Let’s go head-to-head; use external flushing
Use a double-end face seal, or alloy-to-alloy contact, with external flushing water
