Recently, experts from our company came for an inspection and suggested installing a safety valve assembly in the oil reservoir of the metering pump; The relief valves on the compressor oil circuit system all fall under the category of safety valves, and they need to be inspected regularly. Have any of you encountered similar problems? How is the testing carried out?
There are indeed these valves on site; they are all safety valves built into the equipment itself. For example, there are safety valves on triple-screw pumps and reciprocating pumps. I’ve never seen them being calibrated, especially the safety valves in the fuel tanks of our high-pressure slurry pumps. The manufacturer has clearly stated that it is not allowed for users to adjust them without the manufacturer’s permission. I hope other folks can share their opinions as well
Come and learn* a bit to see what the situation is exactly
Yes, for the safety valves and pressure relief valves built into such devices, it’s not clear whether their calibration is carried out by specialized agencies, by the manufacturer itself, or by the user. Are there any specific regulations in place regarding this?
What kind of inspection and acceptance is this? The safety valve of the equipment does not fall under the regulations for special equipment. The question raised by the expert is: what regulatory standards apply?
