The nuclear-zero-carbon integrated energy station project, located in the Jiangyin Port City Economic Zone of Fuzhou, officially commenced construction recently. ‘ ’Upon completion, it will become the first domestic energy station powered by nuclear energy and featuring zero-carbon smart technology. It represents an innovative demonstration project in Fuqing City that actively implements the **\"dual carbon\" strategy to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of industrial parks. Building on nuclear-powered steam supply systems, this project utilizes multi-stage steam utilization and coupling technologies to provide park-based enterprises with a variety of customized zero-carbon energy services, including steam, compressed air, cooling water, deionized water, heat transfer oil, and nitrogen. The first site of the project covers an area of about 26 mu, with a total investment of 220 million yuan. It is primarily used to support the production line for aerogels made from Point Stone’s new materials. The overall construction is carried out in two main phases: civil engineering works and the energy system. Once completed, the first facility of this project will supply the industrial park with over 1 million tons of zero-carbon steam per year, over 100 million cubic meters of zero-carbon compressed air, over 7 million tons of zero-carbon cooling capacity, and over 10 million kilowatts of zero-carbon heat transfer oil. The costs associated with these various forms of energy will be reduced by 20% to 30% compared to when the enterprise builds such facilities on its own
