The Tarim Phase II ethylene project has entered the commissioning phase

On March 30, the 13 main projects of the Tarim Phase II ethylene project at Dushanzi Petrochemical Company were connected to China Communications Construction Company, marking the official transition of the Tarim Phase II ethylene project from the construction phase to the commissioning phase. The 13 main public and auxiliary projects of CCCC this time include the olefin complex (including the aromatic extraction unit, MTBE/butene-1 unit, and butadiene extraction unit), sewage treatment plants, Loop Water Plant No. 1, Loop Water Plant No. 3, pressure tank areas, atmospheric pressure tank areas, low-temperature tank areas, liquid ammonia tank areas, air compression stations, flue gas recovery systems, and the central control room. According to available information, the total investment in the Tarim Phase II ethylene project exceeds 20 billion yuan. Construction began in December 2023, with 11 main production units to be built, including one unit capable of producing 1.2 million tons of ethylene per year, two units capable of producing 450,000 tons of high-density polyethylene per year, and one unit capable of producing 300,000 tons of low-density polyethylene per year. In addition, integrated utility systems and auxiliary facilities will also be constructed.
