It is reported that the technology used in this device was independently developed by Beiyi Technology, breaking through foreign restrictions that posed obstacles; it possesses independent intellectual property rights, and has been tested successfully throughout the entire process from pilot tests to industrial-scale production. The installation was completed on October 30, 2023, and a successful one-time startup was achieved on December 15, overcoming the three major challenges that hindered the domestic production of POE: the design and manufacturing of key equipment for polymerization, devolatilization, and granulation. To date, the device has been operating stably for over 9 months. This time, BEYI Technology invited the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation to organize an on-site evaluation team, which went to the project site to conduct a 72-hour on-site assessment aimed at verifying the reliability and stability of the facility during long-term operation. During the assessment period, the expert group listened to reports on the construction, operation of the 30,000 tons per year thermoplastic POE plant and related projects, as well as on the preparations for the assessment, and provided professional recommendations. After conducting a thorough verification of the measuring instruments, analytical equipment, various assessment criteria, and calculation methods, and confirming the assessment plan, the expert team inspected the operational status of the production system as well as auxiliary production systems such as utility systems on-site. They reviewed the original data records and conducted a detailed examination of positions related to control, analysis, and on-site sampling, to ensure that the data used for this assessment were accurate and reliable. After a thorough evaluation of various aspects such as the technical performance and production efficiency of this device, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the device in question operates in a safe, stable, and reliable manner, with complete data recording; all indicators meet the design specifications and assessment requirements, and they approved its passing of the on-site assessment. It is reported that Beiyi Technology is accelerating the promotion of POE-related production technologies within the industry. On August 31, Beiyi Technology held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 100,000-ton/year high-performance polyolefin elastomer and related projects at the 2024 Autumn Meeting on Promoting Major Projects for High-Quality Development in Shandong Province. This 100,000-ton/year high-performance POE production facility will build upon the design, construction, and operational experience gained from the first industrial-scale installation of this type. Once completed, it will contribute to the high-quality development of the new materials industry in the region, providing new impetus for the growth of China’s high-end polyolefin new materials sector.
On August 31, 2024, the on-site promotion meeting for major projects aimed at high-quality development across the province in the autumn of 2024 was held, and the groundbreaking ceremony for Beiyi Technology’s 100,000 tons per year production facility for high-performance polyolefin elastomers and related products took place at the same time. Since its commissioning in December 2023, China’s first industrial POE production facility built by Beiyi Technology has been operating stably for over 9 months now. It enables high-volume and consistent production of products, and stable cooperation relationships have been established with several top customers in the industry. Beiyi Technology’s POE production equipment and technology have been thoroughly tested in practice, boasting a high level of maturity as well as stable and reliable performance. This 100,000 tons per year production facility for high-performance polyolefin elastomers and related products builds on the experience gained from the design, construction, and operation of the first industrial-scale plant of its kind, and will enable the company to rapidly expand its production capacity. With the holding of the groundbreaking ceremony, the project has officially entered the construction phase, and its completion and operation are just around the corner.
