For detecting fires in storage tanks in chemical plants, what type of detector is suitable or the best choice? Since a supplier suggested that we use flame detectors, should we go with those? Does anyone know? Reference flame detector: http://www.dnfire.cn/goods-3282.html
Is it a gas or a liquid? If it’s a gas, it’s better to install a gas detector first to prevent problems before they occur
Flammable gas detectors can be installed around the tank area to transmit signals to the control room, where audio and visual alarms are installed.
Common fire detection instruments are temperature-sensitive grids and flame detectors. Depending on the tank capacity, if it is a floating roof tank with a capacity of over 30,000 cubic meters, a temperature-sensitive grating should be installed at the seal ring. For dome tanks, flame detectors should be installed on the tank top, along with secondary alarm instruments in the control room.
For large storage tanks, use temperature measurement cables around the top of the pipes; for everything else, a flame detector will suffice

What the heck is a temperature measurement cable? Is it a low-temperature detector? For our LNG vaporization station, the design institute specified combustible gas detectors, flame detectors, and low-temperature detectors. That’s way too safe. I’ve never been able to figure out what a low-temperature detector is. It should be that if LNG leaks and causes the temperature of the surrounding environment to drop, this triggers the low-temperature sensors and results in an alarm?
