Floc and black impurities were found in the jet fuel produced by the facility. The main reason analyzed is the unstable injection of corrosion inhibitors at the top of the atmospheric pressure tower; acidic corrosive substances and alkaline corrosion inhibitors repeatedly reacted with the pipelines at the top of the tower, causing impurities to continuously peel off from these pipelines, be carried back into the atmospheric pressure tower via the reflux stream, and then be distilled out in the first distillation line. The glass fiber filters and ceramic canister filters in this line were ineffective, failing to perform their intended filtering function.
