After decades of the college entrance examination, do university graduates still feel that excitement they had when they received their admission notices, and do they cheer while holding their graduation certificates? The college entrance examination won’t be a matter of national attention anymore, right? ?
It will change a bit, more or less. For example, if one gets into a university, they will spend a few more years of their family’s money to attend college; if they don’t get in, they either have to find a job or become a thug or delinquent on the streets for a few years, or else rely on their parents’ support for that time. It’s different from high school anyway. That’s more or less it.

Take me for example: I graduated with a master’s degree in 2007, and although my income is decent, it has always been my younger brother and his wife who take care of our parents at home. We go back home three or four times a year. Last year we bought a house in the suburbs, and we still don’t have any children yet. My brother finished middle school and stayed in our hometown; he has two children, and the older one is about to finish elementary school. How would one define happiness in this situation?

For children from rural areas, it represents a way to change their lives – they don’t have to make a living in the fields. Yet once they move to the city, they still have to struggle with high living costs, high housing prices, a lack of social connections, difficulties related to changing their residence registration, the need to save money desperately in order to get a wife and a home, and the inability to take care of their parents. . . Is this good or bad?
The countryside is much better now than before; it is largely mechanized. Rural students who cannot find jobs after graduating from university might as well get married and have children at home. . .
You mean the rural areas in the plains, right? Have you been to rural areas in the mountains? Though it’s not as extreme as slash-and-burn farming, it still relies mainly on human and animal labor. Get married and have children at home? Take out 10W first.
Even in rural areas of the plains, there are places with poor conditions, where tuition fees pose a significant challenge; supporting a college student to graduate can push a family back below the poverty line.
Once again, it’s like thousands of soldiers trying to cross a narrow bridge; some are happy while others are worried. It’s better to turn to the wisdom of our ancestors: when children are young, they should be allowed to develop according to their own personalities, with as little interference as possible. At the age of thirteen or fourteen, wise elders can then help them learn knowledge based on their various qualities, so that they can pursue the career they enjoy when they grow up. This truly achieves the principle of \"not seeking superiority over others, but following one’s own desires.\" Modern people fall far short of this standard.
