Given that the raw materials used in the alkylation unit contain a high amount of isobutane, and the alkene-to-isobutane ratio is above 1.2, where does the isobutane go, and can it be used as a product?
Excess isobutane can be discharged to the tank farm from the propylene depropanization reflux tank via the rear route, and an alkene-to-alkane ratio of 1.2 is not considered high. If isobutane has a high purity, it can be sold externally, at a price equivalent to that of the raw gas.
Just adjust the ratio – reduce the amount of cyclic isobutane slightly
If there is an excess of isobutane, it is discharged from the isobutane reflux tank to the tank area for use as a backup or for disposal
