Regulations regarding the service life of petrochemical plants

I would like to ask all colleagues in this field: are there any regulatory requirements regarding the service life of petrochemical plants at present, or in the industry as a whole? The device has been in service for 278 years; the original design drawings did not specify a service life limit. Inspections of the pressure vessels and pressure pipelines are carried out regularly, and any defects are repaired. It’s been kept running in this manner, with continuous repairs over the years – but you know how it is after all this time!
I’ve seen chemical plants built in the 60s – how to demolish them?:o
Gradually replace through updating, upgrading, and maintenance.

The service life of a facility is primarily determined by: whether the manufacturing process is outdated, whether energy consumption meets the required standards, whether environmental protection requirements are fulfilled, whether the products meet current specifications, whether the main equipment satisfies the process/safety requirements, and whether it makes sense to carry out technical upgrades (as excessive investment may be better spent on building something new)......
