Regarding pulse accumulation, how does the system collect, calculate, and output it to the monitoring system? I want to determine how to set the range of a mass flow meter.
Flowmeters like this generally have a 4-20mA signal output, which is connected to the AI card of the DCS. If pulse signals are to be acquired, a dedicated pulse card is required, which is rather troublesome. Aren’t parameters such as range indicated on the instrument’s nameplate? Alternatively, the range options are also available in the instrument settings; if you’re really unsure, consult the manufacturer.
If it is a pulse signal, then a pulse input card is required, or else a pulse transmitter can be used; in other words, the standard current signal is generated based on the number of pulses
