How can one tell if there is an issue with the sound of the air valve?
Be careful with non-periodic sounds.
When there is a problem with the air valve, it is determined by checking the temperature; it’s generally difficult to judge based on sound, unless the screws holding the valve in place are loose or broken, in which case a sound can be heard
It is generally difficult to hear any sound from air valves, as they are designed to be lightweight in order to respond quickly; moreover, they are made of plastic. Such lightweight components are usually not audible over the loud operating noise of the equipment. The working condition can only be assessed by looking at volume and pressure
Judging the sound of air valves generally requires a long period of experience; only experienced workers here are able to detect such issues. However, if something gets stuck in the intake path, such as gas impurities or debris from worn piston rings or guide rings, it’s possible to hear abnormal noises clearly. It’s recommended to use a temperature gun to monitor the temperature of the air valves – this allows for real-time monitoring, as well as the ability to identify problems by comparing accumulated temperature data
