Can one take the exam to become a certified environmental impact assessment engineer without relevant work experience?

In 2015, I tried the relatively easier Safety Engineer exam, but I failed miserably. I passed all four subjects at once, with one subject scoring 60 points; I was worried until the passing threshold was announced, but then I felt relieved, thinking that I would definitely pass. But the safety certification has always been considered to have little value, so I still want to obtain another certificate. I would like to ask those who are experienced in this field: is it possible to apply for it without any work experience in environmental assessment? Is the environmental impact assessment reviewed at the time of registration, or is it reviewed after the results are available, like in the case of safety certification?

It depends on your field of study and years of work experience. Those from fields other than environmental protection need 5 years of work experience, as proven by a document issued by an organization with qualifications in environmental assessment. After that, you just need to study and do practice questions. However, in the environmental assessment exam, there is no distinction between selecting multiple correct answers or fewer ones; this is different from the registered safety engineer exam.
