Are there any HAIYOU members from Jingzhou in the bar? A female graduate student has been accepted by both the Fourth Petroleum Machinery Factory of Sinopec Mechanical Engineering and Gree in Zhuhai. She isn’t very familiar with this petroleum machinery company and is unsure which one to sign with; anyone who knows something about this could please give her some advice. Thank you!
What’s the big deal about this? Which one offers better benefits? How is the company doing? Can I take my husband along? Or does the other company have any young and talented single leaders? . . . Everyone has different priorities; if everyone says this company is good, then why are so many people quitting? If everyone says this company is bad, then why do so many people join it?
As a person from the north, I’m not very familiar with this area, so I’d like to know the approximate salary levels, the development prospects of this company, and the local cost of living.
So what? Is there any classmate going together? Jingzhou should have good potential for development, and Zhuhai is also a nice city. The housing prices in both places should not be high. I’m from the Northeast, and I’ve been in Guangdong for over a decade with no relatives or friends there.
Hubei’s development is highly uneven; all the key resources are concentrated in Wuhan. As for Jingzhou, it’s likely that women working in machinery factories will mainly be engaged in drawing diagrams. Moreover, given the tough economic conditions in the petroleum and chemical industries these days, the salaries there aren’t very high. I recommend going to Gree in Zhuhai – Gree is doing well these days, and its prospects for career development are definitely better than those in machinery factories.
At Sinopec’s Fourth Petroleum Machinery Factory under the Mechanical Engineering division, I have a colleague who used to work there; the benefits seem to be decent. It’s an established state-owned enterprise, but it doesn’t seem to possess many core technologies.
