After the workshop supervisor gave the orders, we proceeded step by step in accordance with the operating procedures and relevant instructions. While cleaning the pipelines for the feed oil, we found that the pipeline leading the feed oil into the furnace was blocked. After consulting with the management, we decided to start the furnace first and then clean the pipelines once the temperature rose. An hour later, once the heating furnace was ignited and the temperature inside the furnace rose, there was an exhaust pipeline at the furnace’s outlet that was open; its outlet led straight to the outdoor toilet in our workshop. As the temperature in the furnace increased, the ice in the outlet pipeline melted, causing pressure to build up in the pipeline carrying the crude oil. At that time, our on-duty equipment operator, Xiao Dong, had just entered the toilet when, suddenly, there was a loud noise, and he rushed out of the toilet in panic. This evolved into a classic example of catalyzing a project’s start-up: bombarding the toilet
