Are there any national standards or procedures for checking whether the grounding is in good condition?

Some equipment requires a good and reliable grounding system. When I went to the customer’s site, it seemed fine – the grounding was done properly. But now that I need to move the equipment to the office for testing, I’m not sure how to check whether the grounding there is adequate. For example, check whether the ground wire in the three-prong plug is connected; and even if it is connected, verify that its resistance value is within the acceptable range. What should be done if there is no grounding in the office? Are there any national standards or regulations for this, so that we can carry out operations in a strictly standardized manner? What instruments and equipment should be used to check grounding?
A ground resistance tester is used to measure ground resistance, and this device comes with instructions for use; to determine the ground resistance, one simply follows those instructions. International standards are not very clear on this matter. It is important to note that the ground resistance tester must be calibrated and still within its valid period, otherwise the test results will be meaningless.
