The coal-to-hydrogen plant at Jiujiang Petrochemical has achieved handover

On June 10, 2015, the EPC general contracting project for the 100,000 cubic meters per hour coal-based hydrogen production unit as part of Jiujiang Petrochemical’s 8 million tons per year oil product quality improvement project, which was undertaken by Sinopec Nanjing Engineering, was completed. The total investment in this project is 1.4 billion yuan; it utilizes GE’s water-coal slurry gasification technology to produce 100,000 tons of hydrogen per year. The design work for the coal-to-hydrogen plant commenced in June 2013, and by the end of April 2014, all design tasks related to the plant had been completed.
