As the title suggests, what type of pipes should be used for gas and steam pipelines in gas stations? Are there any standards requiring seamless pipes for smaller diameters? The gas is at atmospheric pressure. Steam pressure: 0.3 MPA.
The pressure is relatively low, so a regular 20# seamless tube will suffice
For pipes with a pressure below 6 kilograms, apart from large pipes, can welded pipes be used for small pipes as well? Are there any regulations that mandate the use of seamless steel pipes?
If you’re using gas, it’s recommended that you use seamless pipes； For our steam tracing pipes, which operate at low pressure, when there is a shortage of suitable materials, we use galvanized pipes. Galvanized pipes are seamless pipes; as for whether there are any regulatory requirements regarding this, I’m not sure@DesertFish
For gas pipelines, seamless steel pipes should be used; materials such as 10# and 20# are suitable. For larger pipelines, welded pipes are also acceptable. For steam pipelines, 20G material is appropriate
