There must be two valves between the gas main and the water seal. The valve above serves as a maintenance and emergency valve. The following valve serves as the operating valve.” What is the minimum distance between these two valves, and can they be installed together? Could you explain it in more detail?

The valve design includes one medium-pressure valve and one low-pressure valve; the purpose of this is to facilitate the installation of blind plates between the two valves. If the flange ports of the medium-pressure valve and the low-pressure valve can align with each other, it’s not necessary to use adapter sleeves. Do you think the flange ports match? As for the distance required for the short joint to meet the requirements of the flange weld, I remember it should be around 200 mm; please check the specifications for exact details.

This setting is in place so that the control valve can be replaced at any time in case of a failure, or so that another valve can be used if the control valve fails to close properly. There are no specific distance requirements between them. It’s still better to keep it short, so that less gas needs to be released when replacing the control valve.
