Is it necessary to perform blasting on medium-pressure steam pipelines? Blasting consumes a large amount of steam; are there any alternative methods that can replace it? During target shooting, what was the maximum displacement of the pipe support? Do any of the devices have valuable experience that can be used as a reference for others?

I only participated in one shooting session; the maximum displacement of the tube holder reached 12 cm. It was said at that time that the stress was too high, reaching nearly 80%, so some additional spring mounts were added later. However, years after the shooting exercises, that steam pipeline was never put into use, and it is unclear what the effect of adjusting the supports was.
Target shooting is only used to check the results of pipeline purging; in actual operations, it may not be possible to determine the results. Therefore, I think more purging is sufficient.
Medium-pressure steam must undergo blasting; all steam pipelines under high pressure require such blasting. During the blasting process for purging steam at 4.1 MPa, the maximum displacement of the pipe supports reached 5–6 cm. Steam target shooting makes use of the high pressure of steam ; Secondly, it makes use of its heating pipes, followed by a cooling cycle; the thermal expansion and contraction of the pipes cause the impurities on their inner walls to fall off, and it is currently difficult to replace this method with any other.
Agreed. But the shooting process generally still needs to be carried out; regardless of whether the accuracy is good or not, at least there should be data to prove the effectiveness of the purging.
