As is well known, American standard gate valves of 150LB and 300LB both have RF flange connections; so what kind of flange connections do the 600LB and 900LB American standard cast steel gate valves have? Wenzhou Xiangyi Valves would like to give you a brief introduction here today. Steel pipe flange faces for CLASS150–CLASS600: http://www.xyzhf.com/uploadfile/2015/0713/20150713010449543.png Steel pipe flange faces for CLASS900–CLASS1500: http://www.xyzhf.com/uploadfile/2015/0713/20150713010531732.png These images provide a basic understanding of the different pressure grades according to ANSI standards, as well as the various flange connection types. However, sometimes due to pipeline design requirements, RJ connection types are required for flange faces of 600LB grade. Conclusion: Since the customer has ordered American standard gate valves with a weight of over 600LB, the manufacturer must confirm the flange connection details with the customer to avoid issues with installation on the pipeline, which could cause significant trouble for the customer.
When ordering flanges, the owner’s technical documentation must specify the connection method
Just look up the standard for this to find out. For example, according to the ASME B16.5 flange standard, some sizes in the Class 600 and Class 900 series are the same.
For the 600LB grade, I have purchased both RF and RJ versions. See what the owner requests. If it is not specified, reputable valve manufacturers usually have technicians who will get in touch to clarify things.
That’s right; when signing a contract, it’s best to attach a confirmation letter.
