I saw a specification sheet for a control valve, and there was a line that said Air Fall: close. May I ask whether this is a valve that operates on air pressure to open or to close?
Literal meaning: No wind, closed. Wind opening valve.
There is no valve to shut off the instrument air; the valve designed for failure shutdown is not functional

No air: Off. Isn’t it on when there is air? Type is FC; fault condition results in shutdown
Air fail: It refers to a failure in the air supply or a situation where there is no instrument air available. Close: It means that the valve closes in the absence of instrument air.
