Can non-destructive testing of lined pipes be carried out using radiation? Can’t non-destructive testing be done directly then? Can non-metallic pipes be subjected to non-destructive testing?
The lined pipes produced by our company are mainly tested for leaks using an electric spark tester; leak testing is indeed necessary. As far as I know, there is no specialized non-destructive testing method available
Plastic-lined pipelines should undergo non-destructive testing without damaging the lining. Non-metallic pipelines cannot be subjected to non-destructive testing.
