We welcome everyone to share their opinions on how to meet the new environmental requirements regarding the handling of emissions from the vent gases during the storage of methanol, which is a chemical raw material.
The methanol storage tank is under pressure and can discharge to a flare; there is no pollution after combustion
Should methanol be stored in a floating roof tank or a low-pressure tank? Is a nitrogen seal required for low-pressure storage tanks?
According to current regulatory requirements, methanol is stored in internal floating roof tanks
Internal floating roof + nitrogen seal + water seal; gas-phase cryogenic condensation if conditions permit
The pressure is low, it’s unstable, and it’s difficult to handle even with water washing.
