Since in the correspondence table, material grades 25A1 and 25A2 both correspond to material 20#, it is unclear whether material grade and material are the same thing
The material grade table contains information such as pipe pressure rating, pipe material, corrosion allowance, and serial number. In our company’s notation, for example: 2CA1 – the 2 denotes a pressure class of Class150, C indicates that the pipe material is carbon steel, A represents a corrosion allowance of 1.5, and 1 is the sequence number. This is only from our company. Each design institute is different; it follows the design specifications and material grade tables provided by them. The material grade table contains a lot of information; there is also an index table that provides details such as sealing surfaces and end connections, as well as gasket materials.
