There are several loose points at the entrance of the regeneration line into the lift pipe. What is the main function of these loose points?
We know that the catalyst flow must be in a state of gas mixing; during the flow of the catalyst through the regeneration inclined tubes, gas is continuously removed from it. If the level of gas mixing drops to a certain extent, the flow of the catalyst will be affected. Therefore, the function of the loosening points is to supply additional gas to the catalyst, ensuring its proper flow and circulation. :$:$:$:$
The catalyst is in a fluidized state inside the equipment. The main function of the loosening elements is to prevent catalyst accumulation, dead zones, sintering, and issues related to transportation, but they cannot be too large, as this can lead to bridging. All these operations involve orifice plates.
Personally, I think even if there were no loose spots in this area, it probably wouldn’t cause all these problems
No problem; you’ve just not encountered catalyst bridging and terminated fluidization.
The role of the loose points on the regenerating or standby slurry columns as well as on the external circulation inclined tubes: In my opinion, the catalyst is transported in a dense phase within these inclined tubes. When catalyst is transported in a dense phase, problems such as catalyst bridging – where catalyst particles support each other, preventing the catalyst from flowing downward below the bridged areas – and accumulation tend to occur at locations where the flow rate is restricted, such as at the feed inlets, at the bends (e.g., where the regenerating or standby slurry columns turn), and at the flow control devices (such as the regenerating and standby slide valves). The purpose of supplying moving air is to prevent this from happening at these locations by introducing air or steam. Loose air is crucial for the regenerative catalyst cycle. Therefore, the looseness of the wind in the several areas I mentioned above is particularly important compared to that at the standpipe. It's just my personal opinion; please correct me if I'm wrong.
There must be no loose points at all; anything that exists in the design must be put into use and ensured to remain unobstructed.
