Selection of gasket for air cooler plug

Everyone, **please help! Our company currently has a batch of medium and high-pressure air coolers, which require a test pressure of 12 MPa. The tube sheet is made of 304 material, the plug fittings are also made of 304 material, while the gaskets for these plug fittings are made of 316L material. However, during the pressure testing process, leakage occurs quite severely at the plug fitting locations. I would appreciate it if anyone could suggest ways to resolve this issue P.S. I’m thinking of using copper gaskets; I’m not sure if that’s possible

Stainless steel is a bit hard; you can try using copper or aluminum pads instead~~
Why not? \"Carburization\" occurs only when stainless steel comes into contact with carbon steel, which leads to corrosion; it has nothing to do with copper. Many organizations use copper gaskets for sealing the instrument probe seats inside cold boxes, and all that is needed is to be careful with the temperature during the annealing process of these copper gaskets, so as to prevent localized melting of the gaskets.
