As stated in the title, the standards specify that a single-plate orifice plate should be used when the liquid pressure drop is less than or equal to 2.5 MPa, while a multi-plate orifice plate should be chosen when the pressure drop is greater than 2.5 MPa, with the pressure drop across each plate being less than 2.5 MPa. What is the reason for this rule?
I wonder if it’s to prevent excessive voltage drop!
What are the hazards of excessive pressure drop? Severe wear?
