It is reported that the Datang coal-to-gas project is currently operating normally, while the coal tar project of its subsidiary Chifeng Boyuan Technology Co., Ltd. is in the debugging phase, with full operation planned for the second half of the year. Chifeng Boyuan Technology Co., Ltd. is a supporting project for the Datang Keqi coal-to-gas project. It uses the by-products of Datang’s coal-to-gas process as well as peak-shaving gas resources (such as coal light oil, coal middle oil, coal heavy oil, crude phenol, natural gas, etc.) as raw materials, and focuses on their comprehensive utilization through further processing. It also develops downstream industries, making it a green energy project that falls under three industrial chains: advanced processing of natural gas, advanced processing of coal-to-gas by-products, and comprehensive utilization of coal-to-gas waste. The specific projects include 450,000 tons per year of coal tar processing, 60,000 tons per year of crude phenol refining, and 100,000 tons per year of phenolic resin production (including production lines for methanol, formaldehyde, and paraformaldehyde).
