An electric actuator for a Z-type multi-turn valve made by Jiangsu Lan Valve, used in sluice gates (outdoor type on/off valves), is experiencing problems at the company. When the valve is closed remotely, before the closing cam touches the closing microswitch, the valve stops moving; it does not close fully, and no shutdown status is generated. When the valve is closed manually, once it reaches the closed position, the closing cam touches the closing microswitch, resulting in an output indicating the closed state. Conversely, the same problem occurs when the valve is opened. What are the functions of the closed microswitch and the open microswitch? I suspect there is a problem with these two switches; please provide an explanation
The microswitch serves as a feedback mechanism for the valve position; in other words, if the microswitch that indicates the closed position does not activate, it means the valve has not reached its proper position. It also serves as a limit switch; when the microswitch is activated, the valve stops operating
Intelligent electric actuators generally allow adjustment of the stroke; once it reaches the desired position manually, just make the setting accordingly
The electric valve also has torque protection; perhaps when you turn it to that position, the torque becomes too high, which makes it seem like the valve is stuck, and as a result of the overload, the system shuts down.
