There are many types of technicians: those working on equipment, those involved in processes, and those responsible for safety. Their tasks are different, but they are all focused on production. In my opinion, technicians in any field need to have the ability and skill to operate the entire equipment ; Secondly, regardless of one’s abilities and skills, it is essential to have a high sense of responsibility ; Third is a practice that can truly enable communication from above to below, and there are many such things. This also requires division of labor depending on the different workshops.
Who is specifically in charge of that part of the work? In accordance with the process plan, assist the process supervisor in improving and coordinating the process equipment and procedures within the production process, resolve process-related issues that arise during product manufacturing, and ensure the smooth operation of production activities. Responsibilities: 1. Organize workshop process audits based on the design of process plans and procedures, as well as arrange the allocation of equipment and tooling ; 2. Participate in the design and development of new products, assist the workshop in formulating work plans for the trial production of new products, manage the preparation and modification processes, oversee the use of equipment and tools, and check whether the equipment and tools meet the required standards ; 3. Assist the workshop in organizing production according to the plan, work closely with the quality department to analyze conflicts in the production process, provide solutions to issues related to manufacturing processes, and handle promptly and properly any quality or technical problems that arise on the production site ; 4. Review the workshop’s process plans, fill out production and assembly process cards based on the process flow, conduct investigations into on-site management, process improvement, and cost control, and collect process data ; 5. Assist the process supervisor in preparing process documents such as process manuals and guidelines for quality control points; train operators on how to properly maintain and operate existing as well as newly purchased equipment and tooling; provide the necessary work tools; and guide employees to carry out production in strict accordance with the established process procedures ; 6. Assist the workshop in formulating, drafting, and revising job-specific safety operating procedures as required, and supervise and inspect to ensure that employees in each process adhere strictly to them ; 7. Responsible for the management and revision of various process records in the workshop; carefully checking the way these records are filled out and stored, supervising and guiding employees on how to fill them out properly and use them effectively, as well as collecting, organizing, binding, and archiving them on a regular basis ; 8. Responsible for providing process technology training to employees, organizing them to study process specifications and various standard operating procedures, educating them to abide by these specifications, and establishing strict inspection systems to ensure proper implementation of the process and operating procedures, thereby improving the level of production operations and guaranteeing smooth production progress. 9. Participate in the formulation (or revision) of quality standards for semi-finished products, finished products, and raw materials, as well as standards for product grades, and ensure their implementation. 10. Participate in the analysis and investigation of technical and quality incidents as well as equipment failures during the production process; actively carry out activities aimed at technological improvement and the submission of rationalization suggestions; and organize the implementation of corrective and preventive measures. 11. Responsible for establishing process control points in the workshop and strictly monitoring their implementation to keep product production under control. 12. Responsible for organizing technical analysis, with a focus on quality, efficiency, quotas, etc.; analyzing the reasons behind fluctuations in various technical and economic indicators on a monthly basis and evaluating each position.
Safety responsibilities: (1) Carry out work under the direct supervision of the workshop supervisor, and be fully responsible for the process safety management tasks assigned to them. (2) Participate in the formulation and revision of safety and technical operating procedures for various positions, be responsible for preparing process cards; when developing plans for starting up/stopping operations or technical upgrades, ensure that reliable HSE technical measures are in place, and conduct inspections and supervision of their implementation. (3) Assist the department head in carrying out training and education on process technical operating procedures, start-up and shutdown plans, HSE measures for inspection and maintenance, on-site emergency response plans, and HSE knowledge; organize HSE technical drills and assessments. – 13 – (4) Prepare the process safety inspection checklist for the department, participate in inspections of the department’s production processes as well as checks on the safe operation of major hazard sources, and implement corrective measures for all potential safety hazards in the production processes. (5) Conduct on-site inspections to verify the compliance with process technical specifications, address potential hazards promptly, and prevent violations of safety rules. In the event of unsafe conditions, risks, or accidents during production, they must be dealt with decisively and correctly. In emergency situations, those who refuse to comply should have their work stopped, and the matter should be reported immediately to the relevant supervisors to prevent the situation from worsening. (6) Participate in the design review and completion inspection of new construction, expansion, and renovation projects within this department ; Participate in the review of process modification and process condition change plans, and provide professional recommendations. (7) In the event of production-related accidents, report them to the competent authorities promptly, and participate in the investigation and analysis of such accidents. (8) Responsible for reviewing relevant operations within the scope of authority and ensuring the implementation of safety measures. (9) Responsible for establishing and maintaining records related to production process management as well as handling process changes. (10) Participate in the duty work of this department to ensure that safety is monitored 24 hours a day, and to supervise and report any violations by staff. (11) Strengthen safety education for employees in this department to raise their safety awareness. (12) Develop training content and plans for the “four new aspects,” train employees according to these plans, and keep proper records.
