When I was on a business trip to Chengdu, my daughter who is in college took the time to come see me. After dinner, we went shopping at Renhe Spring (the name of the mall) together. The clothes in the mall are stylish and exquisite; for us who are busy with life, it’s also a pleasure to take a look at them. I wandered from store to store, occasionally touching the texture of the fabrics; when I saw particularly beautiful dresses, I would call my daughter over to give her opinion, and sometimes I would ask the salesperson about the price. At first, the daughter watched from a distance without joining in; later, she simply walked out of the shop, paying no further attention. Annoyed, he asked for the reason. My daughter said that an elegant woman goes to fashion stores; if she’s not going to buy anything, then she shouldn’t go there to evaluate or ask about prices! Out of the picture, in my daughter’s eyes! When I brought this up with my husband, we looked at each other and laughed. It turns out we really are getting old! The husband warned his daughter, \"Your mother isn’t graceful; take her to Chunxi Road (Chengdu’s busiest shopping street).\" On the day after class, as promised, my daughter accompanied me to walk along Chunxi Road. It is indeed a bustling market, with people coming and going and a dazzling array of goods! Having been there before, it didn’t feel unfamiliar to me, so I looked around at will! The daughter has probably visited there many times as well, and she no longer stops at stores she doesn’t like. Just every now and then, she would turn around to look at me—just as we used to do back in the day when we took her out; every few steps, we’d glance back to make sure she was still there, fearing that the crowd might separate us and we’d lose her! I stepped forward, held my daughter’s hand tightly, and said, “I’m an adult; I won’t get lost!” ”But the daughter said seriously, “I took you out to have fun; it’s my responsibility!” ”So, I obediently followed her, letting her take me to KFC to drink Coke and use free Wi-Fi. After working hard for decades, has it finally come time to let go? Suddenly, I realized I’m not yet used to it! Later, we went to the Pacific Department Store. When we went to the cosmetics counter, my daughter urged me to buy a set. I feel I’m too old now; there’s no need to waste money on cosmetics anymore! The daughter said, “Women should be good to themselves!” ”A very stylish language! But I remain unmoved! She added, “Money is meant to be spent, not saved!” Think of yourself at the right time too! ”After saying that, without caring whether I wanted to or not, she had the attendant do a makeup trial for me, and I ended up successfully buying a set. I’ve been using it ever since, and the results are really good! Some time ago, I suffered from frequent headaches; after consulting a doctor, I was told it was functional headache! At night, before going to bed, I *habitually play with my phone and scroll through Moments; sometimes I end up playing until the wee hours without even realizing it. One night, my daughter got up to drink water; seeing that I was still playing with my phone, she said angrily, “Don’t you have a headache?” Playing with the phone so late at night; no wonder you have a headache! ”I had no choice but to put away my phone and go to bed obediently, and before I knew it, I fell asleep peacefully! Once, because of work-related matters, I posted a status on my QQ space saying that I was in a terrible mood. It’s just something said casually; once it’s over, it’s forgotten. The next day, my daughter called to ask what was wrong. I have no idea; I ask, “What’s wrong?!” She said, “Didn’t you post a status saying you were in a bad mood?” So you were worried about me? After hearing the whole story, she calmly said, “Work-related matters should be left behind once they’re over. Why dwell on them?” ”In just one sentence, it really lifted my mood. A friend said that your daughter has grown up now; stop mocking yourself by calling yourself an adult ; Hurry and put on the flowered hairpin in front of the mirror; don’t let the generation gap cause you more distress. Yes, our daughter has grown up, we have aged as well, and happiness has arrived.
