How should tube failures in the reheater of a circulating fluidized bed boiler be handled?
The reheater is usually a suspended screen inside the furnace; in the event of a tube rupture, the furnace must be stopped immediately. At the same time, water must be added to the drum to prevent dry burning. The feed should be stopped and air blown in to cool down the furnace.
