When using a multimeter to measure the phase windings of a motor, has anyone ever encountered negative values? What is the reason for this?
A negative reading indicates a problem with the resistance setting of the multimeter; it’s also possible that there is still charge stored in the coil, so try measuring again after creating a short circuit.
