The medium is butyraldehyde; the flow meter is installed vertically, and it features a separate electronic system. Butyraldehyde is definitely a liquid, and when using a vortex flow meter to measure liquids, it is necessary to have a full pipe and stable flow; therefore, the flow meter should be installed in a horizontal pipeline as much as possible. Since it is installed on a vertical pipeline, the effect of the liquid flowing upward or downward on the measurements is significant; upward flow may allow air bubbles to pass through and cause interference, while downward flow essentially makes proper measurement impossible.
