When entering pipe units, I remember the teacher saying that “Rigid” refers to rigid components. What exactly are rigid components, and how many types are there? How are the rigid components in the library of C2 defined?
In CII, flanges, valves, or other components for which it is not necessary to calculate stress are generally treated as rigid elements; only their weight and thermal expansion/contraction are taken into account, without considering their stress levels.
