Can a pressure transmitter with a range of 60 kPa be used in place of a pressure transmitter with a range of 1.0 MPa? We are now preparing to upgrade our old sensors, and the spare parts available are pressure transmitters with a range of 1.0 MPa; in actual use, a maximum pressure of 60 kPa is sufficient. .

It depends on the accuracy of your transmitter; generally, better transmitters have a range ratio of up to 10. I’m not sure what the value is for your transmitter

It also depends on the measurement range of the sensor in your pressure transmitter; if it’s within that range, it can be used as long as the values aren’t too close to each other But the accuracy might be a bit worse than before; if it’s within that range, it’s completely unusable, as this could damage the pressure sensor!
It works fine; there’s no problem, just the accuracy is a bit lower. In fact, the accuracy of pressure transmitters is already very high; in the petrochemical industry, an accuracy of 0.2% is sufficient for pressure transmitters.
It depends on what the minimum range of your pressure transmitter is. If the minimum range can be set to 100 kPa, then there will be no problem.
Check the linearity ratio of the pressure transmitter; a good one can be used. Of course, the premise is that the required precision for 60 KPa doesn’t need to be too high
