Dear sea friend, I wonder if you are using lead-acid batteries. If so, the lifespan of such lead-acid batteries used for starting applications is typically 300 to 500 cycles (under very favorable operating conditions). Moreover, all existing lead-acid batteries have a service life and are designed for a certain number of years (such as 6 years, 8 years, 10 years, 12 years, or 15 years, etc.). You can check the information provided by the original supplier to confirm this! To assess the performance of a battery, a simple inspection can be carried out from the following four aspects: (1) Floating charge voltage of individual cells and the battery pack ; (2) Temperature of the battery casing and terminals ; (3) Check whether the battery’s casing is deformed or leaking ; (4) Check for leakage and acid mist emission around the pole terminals and safety valve. For battery capacity testing, a verification discharge is carried out every six months under actual load conditions; the discharge duration is 30–40%, or alternatively, a constant-power discharge test using relevant equipment is conducted for 6–10 minutes ; A capacity test using a dummy load is conducted once a year, with a discharge depth of 80% C10 (10-hour rate), or a constant-power discharge test lasting 15–20 minutes can be carried out directly using the relevant equipment. For batteries that have been in use for 11 years, some may experience an increase in internal resistance due to poor operating conditions during earlier use or incorrect parameter settings. In such cases, a battery internal resistance tester (such as the Hishiki CA3551) is used to measure the internal resistance, and changes in this resistance are monitored to determine whether the battery needs to be replaced. Finally, based on the operation status of the equipment in question and its charging/discharging cycle, if the fire protection equipment is tested and inspected regularly in accordance with the fire safety regulations (i.e., tests are conducted weekly or every 10 days), it is recommended that the battery be replaced
