Crane machinery often experiences safety accidents during use due to certain factors, which can generally be classified into three main categories: 1. Improper operation: This usually occurs when crane operators fail to follow proper procedures due to lack of concentration, insufficient professional skills, or poor work ethics, resulting in accidents such as overloading, tipping over, excessive winding, collisions, and uncoupling. 2. Equipment defects: These are mainly caused by inadequate work on the part of maintenance and repair personnel for lifting machinery; as a result, the equipment lacks proper maintenance, potential safety hazards are not addressed in time, and the machinery operates while in poor condition. This leads to safety issues such as breaks or cracks in the metal structure, rust-induced failure of wire ropes, electrical faults that cause leakage, and malfunctioning safety devices. 3. Unfavorable environment: Various safety regulations related to lifting machinery explicitly prohibit operations in adverse weather conditions such as thunderstorms, typhoons, tornadoes, and earthquakes, as well as in situations involving insufficient lighting, limited space, or obstacles. Therefore, accidents such as equipment collapse, tipping, crushing, or collision that result from forcing operations despite these unfavorable conditions and violations of safety requirements can also be considered operational factors.
