When the vacuum unit is started, the outlet temperature of the primary liquid ring pump is high while the inlet temperature is low; the current of the secondary Roots pump keeps increasing until the unit shuts down. Moreover, the entire unit set has not been integrated into the system. What is the reason? :)
Is the vacuum level too low? Clogged pipe?
At extreme vacuum levels, when the amount of air entering the system is too low, the vacuum level becomes too low as well; this results in high power consumption and high current for the main pump. Since there isn’t enough air flow to remove heat, the temperature remains high. . . .
In a liquid ring pump, the temperature of the working fluid is high, which causes the inlet pressure to rise as well. The exhaust pressure of a Roots pump increases, and when this pressure difference exceeds the maximum allowable value, overheating occurs and the pump gets stuck! ! Finding a way to reduce the working fluid in the liquid ring pump is the key!
There isn’t enough working fluid in the vane pump; check the specified flow rate, it’s indicated in the manual;
If the inlet of the water ring pump is blocked, the vacuum level in stage 1 will be low, causing the current in stage 2 to increase. Or there are leakage points in one to two sections.
The protection pressure difference is exceeded, causing the Roots pump to trip due to stall. Check whether the amount of working fluid in the preceding pump meets the requirements, as well as examine the temperature of the working fluid
There are various reasons for this; in such cases, it is necessary to first consider whether the pump used in the previous stage is too small, resulting in an excessive pressure ratio and an increase in temperature. It could also be that the temperature of the water in the preceding liquid ring pump is too high, resulting in a decrease in the amount of air drawn in and in the vacuum level. All of these are possible. By jumping out of the vehicle in this way, it is easy to identify whether the Roots pump overheats and seizes or the motor burns out. It is possible to install an electric contact vacuum gauge or pressure transmitter at the inlet of the preceding liquid ring pump, using this gauge to control the start and stop of the Roots pump.
