Now the boss wants to switch to using carbon tetraaromatics for gasoline production. What are everyone’s opinions? What should be taken into account during the renovation?
It’s a bit off-topic. But don’t change to aromatization; the yield is too low. Looking around, there are stalled aromatization units everywhere. Change to alkylation; although there are many challenges and Sinopec poses a threat, the prospects remain good.
What causes the device to stall? Should I stop it from running? The price of liquefied gas is cheap now, right? Raw materials shouldn’t be a problem, then?

We developed the first aromatization-to-alkylation process in the country. It is not appropriate to convert dimethyl ether to use in this process at present, as the yield from aromatization is low and production essentially comes to a halt. We have discussed with the client the options of switching from aromatization to alkylation, or using naphtha or condensate as feedstock along with replacing the catalyst.
