In fact, the most crucial factor is whether the boss is willing to invest money in improving the equipment and technical standards, so as to lay a solid foundation for future production operations. It is particularly important to emphasize that one must not follow everything suggested by the design institute; instead, practical solutions must be found based on the actual problems faced in production. To give a few examples: 1. Equipment selection isn’t something that can be determined simply by some calculations done by the design institute; it is necessary to consider whether the equipment will still be able to meet production requirements during long-term shutdowns for maintenance. Take heat exchangers for instance – their temperature control works fine right after they are installed, but what about after 6 months of operation, or after 1 year? After all, in the absence of backup equipment, one has to wait until a shutdown for maintenance can take place. 2. Don’t be a guinea pig for new processes that don’t have a track record of long-term performance; it’s only going to lead to tears.

After recovering the polymerization off-gases, is it necessary to add a polymerization inhibitor, and how should the dosage be controlled?
There are now specialized technologies for recovering polymer off-gases, eliminating the need to send them back to VCM plants. It’s important to change our mindset – we are no longer the poor countries of the past. If companies want to survive, they must invest money to support technology developers; only through technological progress can we move forward, as sticking to old methods will only lead to obsolescence.
A specialized exhaust gas adsorption device? Sichuan Kaiyuan has produced this equipment, but its promotion has not been very successful due to high costs.
What device is being used? Could you explain it in more detail?
Isn’t recovering exhaust gas simply a matter of condensing it and storing it in a recovery tank, while making sure to discharge the water content at regular intervals? Why send it back to VCM? Generally, it is required that the level of inhibitor in the recycled VCM be between 10-50 ppm; you can calculate this based on the daily production volume.
What about the non-condensable gases that cannot be recovered by the cooler? Are they simply released into the atmosphere? It needs to be recovered to the gas holder at least.
