What are the problems encountered during the tuning of control valves?

Today, while tuning the control valve of the Memsonilan unit, I set the valve position to 100% on the DCS. When the valve stem was almost at 85% open, I heard a loud noise coming from the diaphragm head; the noise stopped when the valve was opened less. This phenomenon occurred several times – whenever the valve position exceeded 85%, the diaphragm head would make a loud noise. What’s the reason for this?
Inside the diaphragm head, there is a metal disc, a rubber diaphragm that can deform around it, several compressed springs, as well as a valve stem with a constant diameter at its center. So where could the noise come from?
Yes, I’m surprised too; this valve is new, and such a problem occurred right from the first use!
