What does NE mean for a solenoid valve? What is the relationship with normally open and normally closed solenoid valves? Are normally open and normally closed solenoid valves inherent properties of the solenoid valves themselves? Can it still be done on-site by changing the gas line connections? Taking a two-position three-way solenoid valve as an example
Normally open and normally closed operation are inherent properties of solenoid valves; for example, in a 2/3-way solenoid valve, one port is common, while the other two ports are either normally open or normally closed.
Should normally open and normally closed solenoid valves be selected separately when making a choice? Or is it the same type of valve, and which port do I need to connect to in order to use it? @jujiangliu
Normally open is NO, normally closed is NC. NE generally refers to Normal energize, meaning it is energized under normal conditions.
Electromagnetic directional control valves come only in normally energized and non-energized versions; there is no such thing as normally open or normally closed
NE means excited, that is, it is charged; NDE means unexcited, that is, it is not charged
