In fact, it is not recommended to use Lurgi reactors for LNG or other coal chemical processes. Wastewater treatment is too troublesome. The product is complex, it is picky about coal, and the production efficiency is low. In Xinjiang, when using SNG plants, Lurgi boilers are employed; there is a lot of residual coal dust and pulverized coal left, which must be processed in pulverized coal boilers to deal with the coal that remains after the lump coal has been processed. . . Why go to the trouble?
In fact, the root cause lies in the fact that the right type of furnace was not selected based on the characteristics of the coal; in some places, Lu Odd furnaces can achieve an utilization rate of over 85% for lump coal.
Biomass boilers are almost 100%. And what about the coal dust and pulverized coal left over from the production of lump coal? Lurgi furnaces can’t handle it, and lump coal is hard to find in the first place. Biomass boilers don’t have this problem, and they also have a high processing capacity per boiler. Therefore, the Lurgi furnace is not recommended.
