A few days ago, our plant’s boiler started leaking. Upon shutting down the equipment for inspection, it was found that a superheater tube was leaking; after sealing that tube, water leakage occurred again. Further inspection revealed that it was the water wall that was leaking. After 60 hours of work to address these issues, the plant was able to resume normal operation. Upon inspection and analysis, there are two reasons: 1. Severe scaling inside the drain pipe of the superheater tube has completely blocked it, resulting in uneven heating of the superheater tube. The normal water quality test results indicate that daily waste discharge is not carried out at the required times and in the required quantities. Operators are required to carry out wastewater discharge operations as specified, team leaders are responsible for supervision and recording, while the production department conducts inspections and evaluations. 2. The outlet temperature exceeded the limit on two occasions; there were obvious signs of high-temperature corrosion on the outer wall of the tube at the leakage site due to overheating. The operator is required to keep the temperature at the second outlet within 5 degrees of 445 degrees.

Don’t you have turbines for your steam? Superheaters are generally used in waste heat power generation; a blockage in the superheater poses a serious risk to the operation of the turbine, and water quality should be the first factor to be checked. I’m not sure what methods you use for water quality monitoring, and what the relevant indicators are It is generally online monitoring with paperless recording, combined with manual testing by water treatment workers. It is recommended to start management from the following aspects: 1. Determine the quantities for fixed arrangement and combined arrangement. 2. Technicians conduct random tests on the quality of furnace water daily ; If waste discharge is not carried out in a timely manner, the boiler water sample will be turbid, usually appearing reddish-brown. 3. The dosage of the additive should be measured and determined. 4. Ensuring high water quality is the key. The superheater material should be stainless steel; this temperature is no problem.
