The unit has a new pump installed, and the motor’s operating temperature has remained high. Today, it was noticed that something was wrong with the motor fan; previously, the cooling fan located at the back of the motor drew air in, while this motor expels air outward. It is suspected that the fan might be installed in the wrong direction, which is causing poor heat dissipation from the motor, but there is no theoretical evidence to support this claim. Do you all think what I said is right? Is there a theoretical basis?
All the motors I’ve seen blow air toward the motor side, with air being drawn in at the motor cover.

Look for the standards and specifications related to motor manufacturing; there should be regulations available.

First, check whether the motor is running in reverse, which can be determined by the pump’s flow rate, head, and vibration levels. If the motor’s rotation direction is fine, then it’s likely that the fan is installed in the wrong direction; the airflow should flow toward the pump head in order to cool the motor. Additionally, there are flame channels on the outside of the motor casing to help extinguish any flames.
If the motor drives a strong cooling fan – the fan has a direction; if the motor directly drives the blades – there is no restriction on the direction of rotation
Check what type of blade it is; straight blades don’t matter in terms of orientation. The blades of the laminae have a direction. Impeller types also have a direction.
