Our unit has two high-speed centrifugal pumps made by Zhejiang Tiande, with a speed of 9500 rpm and a head of 342 meters. The medium they are designed to handle is C6 fraction. However, when the pumps are started, the medium vaporizes instantly, which prevents proper flow of liquid; there are also abnormal noises in the pipes. In some cases, the pumps can operate for a while, but over time the pump body heats up yet still no fluid flows. Are there any effective methods for operating these pumps in order to overcome the difficulties associated with starting them or switching them between different operating modes?
Could it be that, due to operational reasons, the initial medium is not C6 but rather C5 or something lighter than C6?
The original poster is being too absolute. How can we tell that the medium has vaporized? The issues of insufficient flow rate and abnormal noises are also likely to be caused by poor control of the outlet valve and return line of your high-speed pump. Pump carefully. Make sure to properly vent the exhaust valve at the outlet as well as the exhaust valve in the pump chamber – ensure thorough ventilation! If it makes more noise, then the outlet valve and return valve need to be adjusted properly.
Ensuring proper reflux can generally prevent such situations from occurring
The required net positive suction head of pumps and the factors affecting it can be used as a guide to identify the cause
Check the pump manufacturer’s instructions; the minimum return line should be open when the pump starts, otherwise the pump will empty out.
I can help you solve this problem; send me a few red flowers~~~ Hehehe~~~~~
Check whether the medium temperature is high and the inlet pressure is low; Or the design dimensions of the inlet pipeline need to be changed ; If nothing else works, consider changing the pump’s startup method to a soft start, and starting the pump with its outlet opened to a certain degree; this should help improve the situation
Is it because the flow rate is too high? If a high-speed pump has a high flow rate, the flow can suddenly stop; use pipes to control the pump’s flow curve
