I have a question for all the teachers and fellow learners: What is the auto-assignment technique? Is it assigning the results calculated by software to that logistics item? ? ? Thank you so much!

I heard it from a teacher! When convergence is not necessarily easy using tearing flow, a small-flow repair approximation method can be employed, with a small-flow diversion to resolve the issue. Teacher, could you explain it?
It is that the torn stream does not meet the convergence requirements; a small flow rate is separated as the difference between the stream before and after tearing, and this is used as a tolerance to address the issue of material imbalance. Logically, there is nothing wrong with this method; it should work.

I’m just borrowing this thread to ask the original poster. In ASPEN, for some set values, especially those related to the recirculated stream, how can we ensure that the resulting values are exactly the same as the initial values? Can a tearing flow do this?
It can’t be exactly the same, right? It should be that iterative calculations will always show some changes; as long as it’s within the tolerance range, it should be fine! This is just my own opinion; go ask the experts instead
After convergence, you can use reconcile.
I haven’t used reconcile yet. Try it next time. If you don’t want to use it anymore, can you just cancel it directly?
Just delete that shipping option and add a new one! Otherwise, even if the number used for assignment is removed! It seems like Aspen should have a memory function. . .
